Privacy Policy

TrainerQ ("we", "us") is a fitness tracking and coaching platform available on the web and as a mobile app. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the TrainerQ website and the TrainerQ Android/iOS apps.

Account information. Name, email address, password (stored by Firebase Authentication — we never see it), and optional profile photo. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from that provider.

Fitness and health data you or your coach enter. Workouts (exercises, sets, reps, weights, duration), personal records, body measurements (weight, height, circumferences, body fat), heart rate and blood pressure readings, fitness goals, activity level, sleep and stress self-ratings, and — if a coach runs an assessment or intake with you — self-reported medical conditions, injuries, medications, and physician-clearance answers. This data exists so you and the coach you work with can plan and track training safely.

Coach–client data. If you are a coach, the client profiles, programs, assessments, session credits, and notes you create. Coaches may create profiles for clients they train in person; the coach is responsible for having that person's permission.

Usage and device data. Push notification tokens (if you enable notifications), and basic technical logs generated by our hosting provider (Google Firebase) such as IP address and request timestamps, used for security and reliability.

• To provide the product: tracking workouts, computing XP/levels/streaks, generating progress charts and reports.
• To connect trainees with coaches you choose to work with — your coach can see the training data relevant to coaching you.
• To power optional AI features (e.g. program suggestions and weekly recaps) using Google's Gemini models. Only the data needed for the feature is processed, and it is not used to train the models.
• To send push notifications you've opted into (assigned workouts, coach messages, reminders).
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your health data for advertising.

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, Cloud Storage) on Google Cloud infrastructure in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted by security rules: you can access your own data, and coaches can access the data of clients connected to them.

• Your coach(es): training data, assessments, and progress for the coaching relationship you accepted.
• Other users: your display name, level, class, and public leaderboard stats. Your health data, measurements, and assessments are never public.
• Service providers: Google (Firebase hosting/auth/database, Gemini AI processing) acting on our instructions.

• Delete your account anytime from Profile → Delete Account (in the app or on the web). This permanently removes your account and associated data from our systems.
• Disconnect a coach anytime to end their access to your ongoing data.
• Push notifications can be disabled in your device settings.
• You may contact us to request a copy or correction of your data.

TrainerQ is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
