Logging workouts and earning XP
How to log sets, reps and time, queue a whole session at once, and exactly how much XP each set earns.
Every set you log earns XP — lifting, a run, a class at home, anything counts. No gym needed for your first levels.
Log a session
- 1Tap Log in the bottom bar.
- 2Type the exercise (for example Squats or Running) and choose the workout type: Reps for sets and reps, or Time for something you do for a duration.
- 3Enter the sets and reps, or the duration. Weight is optional — leave it empty for bodyweight work. Add a drop set if you did one.
- 4Tap Queue Exercise to add it to the session, and repeat for each exercise.
- 5When you are done, tap Log All Workouts. You can add a note about how it felt.
How XP is earned
| Rule | Amount |
|---|---|
| XP per set, below level 10 | 75 XP — a boost to get you started |
| XP per set, level 10 and up | 10 XP |
| Class bonus (once you have a class other than Novice) | +5 XP per set |
| Daily limit | XP is earned on up to 40 sets a day |
After 40 sets in a day your character runs out of energy: the sets still save to your history, but they earn no more XP until tomorrow. An XP potion from the Gem Shop adds 30% to the XP you earn for 24 hours.
Personal records
When you beat your best on an exercise, TrainerQ saves it as a new personal record automatically — no extra step.
